The Ancient Wonders of the Star Wars Galaxy
This is a list of the ancient wonders found in the Star Wars galaxy. Hopefully I will have pictures of these wonders soon, but I'm just starting, so all I have is information about these wonders right now. Enjoy!
Centerpoint Station
Centerpoint is a massive spacestation (approx. 350 km in length) that rests directly within the point of gravity which the two planets Talus and Trallus in the Corellian System. Its builders are unknown, and the source of the energy for its functions are unknown. In fact, nobody knows anything about Centerpoint Station, except that it has been there for as long as anyone can remember, prehaps tens of thousands of years. The station has been found to house one of the most terrible weapons ever discovered; one that can destroy an entire solar system (much like the sun crusher) without leaving its place between the Double Worlds. It also can activate the planetary repulsors on the 5 major planets in the Corellian system, and spread an interdiction field across the entire system. However, the control station on this station for all these secret functions are still a mystery, but much has been learned by Anakin Solo, the youngest son of Han and Leia Organa Solo.
Lost City of the Jedi
A city constructed by ancient Jedi that lies deep below the surface of the fourth moon of the gas giant Yavin; maintained by droids. It was constructed for the use of Jedi Masters for replenishing their Force energies with training and exercises. It has remained hidden and unfound, and the legend says that whoever finds the city will have limitless power in the Force.
Massassi Temples
These temples rest in the jungles of Yavin 4, towering above the trees. They were constructed by the Massassi, an ancient but advanced race of beings. But according to the mysterious glyphs on the sides of the temples, a Dark Man came to the planet and enslaved the Massassi to build his dark temple. The Massassi disappeared mysteriously, leaving their temples to be discovered by modern civilizations. When Luke Skywalker set up his Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4, several of his students were seduced by the "Dark Temple" (actually where the Dark Jedi Exar Kun's spirit was contained), and became evil. The temples continue to be little more than a home for the various kinds of animal life on Yavin 4, with the exception of the Dark Temple and the Rebel Base Temple.
Imperial Palace
The Imperial Palace on Coruscant is the center of Imperial City, and has been the seat of galactic government throughout all of history. This building, which can easily accomidate a Star Destroyer in its grand hall, has seen the rise and fall of many different governments, regimes, and especially battles that are important on a galactic scale. Most of the decisions and discussions held in the palace will in some way affect most of the population in the galaxy. Also, the architecture is so complex and ornate that it must has taken hundreds of years to construct, and been added onto and restored several times. It rises above the rest of the buiding in the upper levels of Imperial City, and is a breathtaking site no matter which power is currently situated there.
